Teaching experience

I started to teach in Israel in 1986, and have a broad international teaching experience. I teach piano, chamber music, and music theory for all levels and ages in four different languages (Hebrew, English, Portuguese, and Dutch). Among other positions, I was a piano assistant instructor in the Rubin Academy of Music (Jerusalem, Israel) and member of the piano staff of the Israeli Valley Conservatory (Israel) between 1995-97, and piano assistant instructor and member of the piano staff of the pre-college program in Indiana University (Bloomington, USA) between 1997-2002.

Since 2002, I have been teaching piano in the American school of The Hague in Holland and in 2007 I became a chamber music instructor in the International Music Center for Ensembles (ICE), where I am currently the coordinator.

Teaching philosophy

My teaching philosophy is to identify and stimulate the individual potential of each student regardless their age and music level. Each person has different abilities such as coordination, motoric skills, musicality, and hands structure. I have a strong intuition to quickly identify those individual abilities and to create a personal teaching method to each individual.
I strongly believe that self-esteem and self con dence are fundamental for individual progress and development. Working one on one can be very exposing for the student. In my teaching I focus on the individual strength combining positive feedbacks with constructive remarks.

I encourage each individual to express their power and vulnerability. I truly believe this inner connection leads to a personal empowerment that is expressed through the instrument and in their lives. These qualities are essential to the progress and development of each individual.

My experience studying, living, and working in different countries has given me the opportunity to get to know different cultures and ways of communications.
This knowledge allows me to apply my teaching methods to each student depending on his/her cultural background.
